Bell Schedule

Beginning in the 2026–2027 school year, Clarke County High School will transition to a new Modified Block Schedule designed to strengthen instruction, improve academic support, and reduce learning gaps for students.

How the Schedule Will Work

  • Mondays: Students will attend all eight classes for approximately 45 minutes each.
  • Tuesday–Friday: Students will attend either Odd Block or Even Block classes on alternating days.

In addition, the new schedule includes a dedicated Structured Intervention and Test Preparation Time to provide students with targeted academic support, enrichment opportunities, and focused preparation for state assessments and college readiness exams.

Purpose of the Change

The modified block schedule was developed to ensure students experience more consistent instruction in core academic areas, particularly Math and English Language Arts (ELA). By reducing long gaps between classes, CCHS aims to improve retention, increase student achievement, and provide additional opportunities for intervention and academic growth.

We are excited about the positive impact this schedule will have on teaching and learning and look forward to a successful 2026–2027 school year.
